The 80’s, and music today…

by Bert Ortega on January 15, 2008

The Shout Out Louds are an interesting bunch, they have a sound that takes me back in time. When the Cure was popular, I was more interested in bands like Suicidal Tendencies, Black Flag, and the Bad Brains, the cool chicks all dug them. Of course I eventually enjoyed all the fruit the 80s had to offer, not just the stuff that made me want to ride my skate board off the house, or down the steepest street in town.

This band is great in its own right, even though I can’t avoid getting nostalgic- you kids may find it fresh and new. Here a couple tracks off of “Our Ill Wills” so if you enjoy it go out to your local CD stand and grab a copy- and if you live in cultural wasteland there are the data tubes you are linked to now that can get you anything your heart desires.
